A simple will is a legal document that lets you decide how your assets, like money, property, and personal belongings, will be distributed after you pass away, and it can also name guardians for minor children. It ensures your wishes are honored and your loved ones are taken care of. However, a simple will is not a Power of Attorney, so it does not let someone make decisions for you while you are alive. It is also not a trust or a complex estate plan, and it will not manage assets during your lifetime or necessarily avoid probate. Think of it as a straightforward way to provide clarity and peace of mind for you and your family.

At a client’s request, document preparation assistance may be provided for trust-related deeds, including trust transfer deeds. When authorized by the client, electronic recording with the appropriate county may also be facilitated.

Government filing and recording fees are not included and are paid separately by the client.
